US President Donald Trump on Thursday said he had a “truly great friendship” with Xi Jinping as the Chinese leader arrived at the White House for a state visit. Trump said the two leaders would discuss security, technology and artificial intelligence as Xi called for responsible development of AI to ensure it remains “always under human control”.
