Psychological research and practice are becoming more and more influenced by Artificial Intelligence, based on the application of large language models (LLM). The views of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA, 2024) and psychologist Dirk Wulff at the Max Planck Institute indicate that they are going to be used to supplement, rather than to substitute, professional judgment. LLMs are enhancing efficiency and consistency by reviewing the volume of research and automating tasks like literature reviews without taking human oversight out of the centre.
