A group of four innovative biology and biomedical engineering students has created an impressive device known as PneumaNode, a small sensor patch designed to monitor neonatal patients effectively. This cutting-edge gadget continuously tracks vital signs such as heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and temperature. Collaborating with ResperCare LLC, they addressed a pressing need in neonatal intensive care, aiming to ease nurses’ burdens while enhancing monitoring precision.
